A toddler was shot and a man killed at Point Cumana in Carenage last night.

He is 24-year-old Romario Jawahir. 20 month old Kalani Ryan was also shot and taken to hospital for treatment.

He would have celebrated his birthday tomorrow, Uncutt News understands.

The shooting happened at Rodney Street, Point Cumana Carenage and left another person wounded.

Man shot in Sange Grande while asleep with his girlfriend...

A shooting incident occurred in Sangre Grande on Saturday morning, leaving a 26-year-old man injured.

The victim's account to the police was that he was sleeping with his girlfriend at their home on Pine Haven Road when they were awakened by a strange noise around 2:45 am.

Upon looking up, they saw a man they recognized standing over their bed. Without warning, the suspect fired shots at the victim before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained injuries to his upper left arm and chest and was immediately taken to the Sangre Grande District Hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, his girlfriend remained unharmed.

The victim's condition was listed as serious but stable as of this afternoon.

Ria Sookdeo's brother dies at hospital after he was shot on Friday.

Richard Rajkumar was shot approximately five times at Sir Lamont Avenue Phillipine and died at the hospital early on Sunday 14th May 2023.

Rajkumar, the brother of missing woman Ria Sookdeo, was reportedly shot multiple times about the body and rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital.

Ria mysteriously disappeared on September 22nd 2016.

Another decomposing body found

The decomposing body of a man was found yesterday in Ste Madeline.

ADD News TT was reliably informed that the discovery was made at about 12.30 pm in the vicinity of Chemistry Bar on Thursday 11th May 2023.

Police said that residents of the area detected a foul stench coming from a neighboring house and a lack of activity from the lone occupant, known only as GUS. CPL Sookdeo and the team responded and found a body in the house in a state of decomposition. The body was identified as an adult male lying in a front bedroom, and CSI PC Rampersad processed the scene. The body was removed by Nicholas Funeral Services Limited for safe keeping until a post-mortem could be conducted at Forensic Science Centre. Despite interviewing people in the area, no information was obtained on the deceased's identity, and he remains unidentified.

Man ambushed and killed by lone gunman

Six spent shells were found on the scene of a murder in South Oropouche last night.

ADD News TT was informed that the deceased, Hilary James, 43, was said to be walking along Kroomen Trace when he was accosted by a masked man.

Gunshots were heard and the suspect was observed fleeing the scene.

James was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital but he died while undergoing treatment.

Bandits elude capture following a shootout

Police are searching for two men who opened fire on officers yesterday afternoon.

ADD News TT understands that the lawmen were responding to a report of a robbery along Boys Lane in Dabadie at about midday in which a vehicle was stolen at gunpoint.

The officers observed the vehicle along the roadway and gave chase.

However, the driver of the stolen car crashed into a parked white Nissan Wingroad along the roadway.

Two men exited the vehicle, with one of the suspects opening fire on the lawmen.

The police took cover and returned fire.

However, during the exchange, the suspects managed to make good their escape.

The crime scene was processed by officers attached to the Northern Division Crime Scene where four spent shells with the markings “TTPS 9mm” were recovered.

The vehicle was wrecked at the Arima Police Station.
