A Carenage man was gunned down near the Morvant Police Station early on Friday 5th May 2023.
Uncutt News Media understands that around 6:15 am, officers responded to information of wounding at the corner of Galba St and Lady Young Avenue, Morvant.
When they got to the scene, they observed a black Nissan B-14 motor vehicle Reg. No. PBA 7623, with a man, later identified as 59-year-old Ricardo Francis, slumped in the driver's seat.
Francis, of Sea View Hill Carenage, had an apparent gunshot injury to the left side of his body. He was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he subsequently died.
The incident happened a stone's throw away from the Morvant Police Station. Investigations are continuing into the incident.

 
Human Skull Found In Mayaro
Human skull with bullet holes discovered in Mayaro
A human skull was found last night during a search operation for a missing Venezuelan national.
The discovery was made at about 7.45 PM during a joint operation between the Hunters Search and Rescue Team and officers of the Mayaro and Rio Claro police stations.
While searching for Luis Tovar in Guayaguyare they stumbled across the skull some 15 meters from the shoreline.
According to reports, the skull was observed to have six holes in it.
Investigations are ongoing.

An Australian national was robbed of a car at gunpoint in San Juan but a suspect was later held driving it with fake plates in Cascade.
Uncutt News Media was told that the incident happened around 12:20 am on Thursday 4th May 2023 at Campo St. Ext. Calvary Hill in San Juan.
The victim was robbed by two armed and masked bandits of a silver-grey Honda City motorcar Reg. No. PEB 8104.
Sometime later, officers of the POS City Police Multi-Operational Unit, led by Supt. Charles, Sgt. Maharaj and PC Sampson received information and went to Upper Cascade Road where they intercepted the vehicle.
The car had a false license plate affixed to it Reg. No. PEA 535. Police held a man identified as Malcolm Harewood of Upper Valley Road, Cascade, driving the vehicle.
Investigations are continuing into the incident.
